What does Tearfund do?

Tearfund Germany e.V. is a Christian organisation working in the area of development cooperation and humanitarian aid. We are committed to a world without poverty and injustice and work towards this by empowering entire communities, i.e. villages or small groups. Together with local church communities and partner organisations, we focus on food security, WASH (water, sanitation, hygiene) and peacebuilding where the need is greatest. We also inspire and mobilise Christians around the world to work for global justice and enable others to live in dignity.

Tearfund Germany is part of the global Tearfund family, which is active in more than 50 of the world’s poorest countries.

Tearfund Germany e.V. has charitable status and is run by a General Assembly, made up of members from the Supervisory Board and the Management Team. These meet at regular intervals to fulfil their statutory duties and responsibilities.
