Every donation sets the first step out of poverty
The civil war in Yemen had taken away all of Hani’s livelihood: He lost his job. He could no longer provide a safe home for his wife and children. At some point, food became scarce. The plates remained empty.
With Tearfund’s donations, Hani was able to take the first step out of this hopelessness!
Food packages enabled his children to go to bed without hunger. Meanwhile, Hani opened a small store. Tearfund helped with the initial equipment. Professional training taught Hani the basics of bookkeeping.
Today, Hani needs neither food packages nor equipment for his store. He has taken the first step out of poverty. In the Middle East, there are millions of people like Hani who depend on this first step.
