WHO WE ARE

Tearfund Deutschland e.V. is a Christian non-profit association for development cooperation and development-oriented emergency aid with its headquarters in Berlin. We help people in need and support them to live in dignity and make self-determined choices. Our Christian faith motivates us to serve people in need without regard to background, culture and faith. Our focus is on countries in the Near and Middle East, with additional partnerships through the Tearfund family in over 50 countries. We currently have 90 employees, seven of whom work at our Berlin office.

Our work includes supporting refugees and internally displaced persons and providing people with access to safe water, sanitation and health care. We are also active in peacebuilding and conflict resolution. Our projects are coordinated by our local staff and carried out jointly with the local population. In this way, we create space for encounters and dialogue so that people of different backgrounds and worldviews can work together to bring about change.
